# How do I cancel my Oh Dear subscription?

You can cancel your Oh Dear subscription at any time, directly from the [Billing](/billing) page in your account. Click **Manage subscription on Billing portal**, which takes you to the Stripe customer portal, and select **Cancel plan**.

A few things to know:

- Cancelling stops your next renewal. You keep access to everything until the end of the current billing period.
- After the period ends, your account moves to a free-trial-like state. Historical monitoring data stays available for a limited time before we prune it, so if you're coming back within a few weeks you won't lose much.
- You can resubscribe at any time from the same Billing page, and any monitors you had are restored on the new plan.

If you'd rather downgrade to a smaller plan instead of cancelling outright, you can do that from the same Billing portal. Stripe will pro-rate the difference and apply it to your next invoice.
