Oh Dear

Why do I only see two events in my cron history?

Short answer: your scheduled task is healthy. We prune the log to keep it readable.

We don't keep every successful ping forever. Instead, we hold on to:

  • Every failure or missed event, in full
  • The most recent successful pings (around the last ten), so you can always confirm the task is still reporting in

Older consecutive successes get pruned as new ones arrive. So a long-running, healthy task that never fails shows a short list of recent check-ins rather than thousands of identical "all good" rows. It's not a bug; it's how we keep the log focused on the events worth paying attention to.

Tip: if you get "missing ping" alerts that feel wrong, double-check that the cron job's timezone matches the timezone configured on the monitor. Mismatches there are the most common cause of surprising alerts.
