Who uses Oh Dear?

It's the perfect bridge app between our platform devs and other team members that might not have the same access to troubleshoot or might be slightly less technical and need an easy tool to show where any issues might be. We use it during deployments to monitor the change in performance and analyse any trends in performance lag.

Oh Dear is one of those set-and-forget tools that you configure once, and then you hope to not be notified by them. Super reliable, love all those various checks that I can set up for my domains. It's not only site-is-down monitor, it's also cron, sitemaps, performance, lighthouse reports, status pages, etc.

Oh Dear is not just a simple uptime monitoring tool. It is able to detect a multitude of proeblems with websites. As an agency, we love using Oh Dear to keep an eye on our customers websites and frequently look into Oh Dears reports. It is easy to integrate Oh Dear in our monitoring and notification infrastructure so we don't miss any issue.

We run a SaaS product so it's super important that we're aware immediately if the app or marketing website are down, or performance has suddenly changed. Oh Dear keeps on top of that as well as things like SSL certificates... All in all it just gives us peace of mind that things are running smoothly.

Oh Dear monitors the health of our website and notifies us when it goes down, then comes back up. We learned that my site goes down much more often than we thought, but never for more than a few minutes at a time. The notification email has an option to snooze, when there are too many events. We like the friendly tone of the messages as well. Setting things up was trivial, and we haven't had to do anything else to keep it going.

We used to have a single contact for issues on the websites we manage. Now we have multiple ways and people to monitor site health thanks to Oh Dear. Email alerts and status dashboards give great visibility on site health. We were also really pleased that Oh Dear integrated ways to monitor cronjobs and scheduled tasks.

Easy to use. There are no too fancy features but the base ones are perfectly covered. One of the most usefull feature for us is the application health monitoring, as we developped and used in all our project an open source Java library to expose different health keys to Oh Dear. Also we can get clean public monitoring page, available to our customers.

Oh Dear helps us make sure that all our important websites are live, and that we have a way to communicate issues using the the status pages. The dead link monitoring feature is also extremely handy. It also provides us with feedback like when our websites load faster, which can also indicate that something is wrong, ironically.

The pricing is fair, the UX is good, it is easy to integrate yet has a great number of features. We're using it every day. It is trivial to implement, and the customer support is decent. We are using it for most of the purposes offered by the toolset. Dead link checks, uptime checks, cron checks, and Core Web Vitals and SEO monitoring.

We love being able to add a URL and have it instantly pull through uptime, performance, certificate checks etc. The integration into Laravel is great and the health monitoring, too. I don't use the status pages much, but I like knowing it's there for if a client asks. The downtime alerts have become invaluable, alerting me to an issue before a client spots it.

All our services are registered in Oh Dear and what we did is install a lot of notification channels. So if there is anything interesting, we are getting notified. Also, cron jobs are really important for us and Oh Dear gives us a really flexible way of setting up and monitoring all jobs execution. UI is really good. Public monitoring page is available, although we are not using it but is perfect.

It is very easy to setup and integrate while being flexible enough to handle different cases. Also since it covers everything from websites to APIs, from SSL certificates to response times to first load etc. it is a single solution that covers all of our external monitoring needs. Just great value for the money.
