Brand Assets
Every app directory, plugin listing and social profile wants a square icon, and for years this page didn't have one. So here you go.
The logo sits at two thirds of the canvas, centered. Nothing gets clipped when a platform crops it to a circle or masks it into a rounded square, which most of them do without telling you. Pick a background, or take a transparent one if the platform supplies its own.
Every variant ships as SVG and as PNG at 1024, 512, 256, and 128 pixels.
A drop-in set for browser tabs and home screens: a multi-size .ico, the 16 and 32 pixel
PNGs, an Apple touch icon, and both Android sizes. There's a README in the ZIP with the link tags
and the manifest snippet, so you can paste it and get on with your day.
Give the logo room to breathe. Keep at least the height of the o clear on all four sides, and don't let anything else creep into it.
Below 120 pixels wide the wordmark turns to mush. If you're tighter than that, use the square logo instead.
The logo does one job, so please leave it alone. If none of the versions here work for what you're building, mail me at support@ohdear.app and I'll make one that does.
Coquelicot. It's the old French name for the wild corn poppy, Papaver rhoeas, which is a very fancy way of saying bright red with some orange in it.
The secondary palette. Mostly typography and interface furniture: borders, icons, dividers, ...
Headings are Söhne Breit, everything else is Söhne, both by Kris Sowersby at Klim Type Foundry. Code and small labels are IBM Plex Mono.
Söhne is licensed, so I can't hand it out here. But if you're rebuilding something of ours and want it to match, that's what you're looking for. Want a free stand-in? Inter gets you close enough.
