A monthly report in their inbox
Enable reporting on a site and on the first of every month we generate a report covering the previous month, emailed to the addresses you choose - up to five per monitor. Send it to your own team for review, straight to the client, or both. Sites you don't enable it on never send anything.
The report lives on its own link, so it opens in any browser without an Oh Dear account. And every report is archived: when a client asks "how did March look?", the answer is a link, not an afternoon of digging.
Turning it on takes a minute per monitor: pick the sections and add the recipients. Every report after that sends itself.
You decide what's in it
Every client cares about something different. The e-commerce client wants uptime, performance, and broken links. The brochure site needs uptime and a valid certificate. The SEO-driven client wants Lighthouse scores in there too.
Each monitor has its own report settings, so you compose each client's report from the checks that client cares about: uptime, performance, certificate health, broken links, mixed content, Lighthouse, cron jobs, sitemap, DNS, DNS blocklists, domain expiry, and open ports.
Toggle a section off and it's gone from next month's report. No templates to maintain, no export scripts.
Your logo, your accent color
Upload your logo and set your accent color once, and every report your team sends carries them: your logo at the top, your color on every section heading and the accent border. To your client, it's your report, not a third-party printout.
The numbers, though, don't come from you. Every report is generated by Oh Dear, an independent monitor with no stake in the outcome. You're not grading your own homework, and your client gets confirmation from a neutral source that the site you manage is healthy.
Each report carries a small "powered by Oh Dear" note, so the independence is visible on the page, not something you have to explain.
Give clients a login of their own
Some clients want more than a monthly summary - they want to look for themselves. Invite them into your team as a guest and hand-pick exactly which sites and status pages they can see. Ten clients? Ten guests, each seeing only their own site.
Guests can't create monitors and can't touch billing or team settings. Your client list, your other monitors, and your invoices stay yours. You decide who sees what, and you can change or revoke that access at any time.
There's no limit on team members and no per-seat pricing; an extra guest never shows up on your invoice.
A status page for every client
The monthly report covers last month; a status page covers right now. Create a branded status page per client - status pages are unlimited on every plan - and your client can check on their site whenever they want, without emailing you.
Each status page runs on its own custom domain with automatic SSL, carries its own logo and colors, and shows only the monitors you attach to it. Want to keep it between the two of you? Add a secret to the URL so it's not public.
Some clients just want the monthly email. Others want a login and a live status page on top. You decide per client how much they see.

Frequently asked questions
What does a monthly client report contain?
Whatever you decide, and only for the sites you enable it on. Each monitor has its own report settings where you toggle the sections: uptime, performance, certificate health, broken links, mixed content, Lighthouse, cron jobs, sitemap, DNS, DNS blocklists, domain expiry, and open ports. On the first of the month we generate a report covering the previous month, host it on its own link, and keep every past report in an archive.
Can the report go straight to my client's inbox?
Yes. Every monitor takes up to five recipient addresses. Send the report to your own team, straight to the client, or both. Your client gets an email with a link to the full report - no Oh Dear account needed to read it.
Does the report carry my branding?
Upload your logo and pick your accent color once, and every report your team sends carries them. The report itself notes it's powered by Oh Dear, which works in your favor: your client sees the numbers come from an independent monitor, not from you.
Can my clients log in and see their own site?
Invite them as a guest and hand-pick which sites and status pages they can see. Guests can't create monitors and can't touch billing or team settings, and they never see your other clients. There's no limit on team members and no per-seat pricing.
How is this different from a status page?
A status page shows how the site is doing right now; the monthly report shows how it did over the past month. Most agencies use both: a branded status page per client for live transparency, and a monthly report for the paper trail. Status pages are unlimited on every plan.
