Ansible

Available for bounty

An Ansible module to help manage your sites at Oh Dear.

We are looking to collaborate with an Ansible expert to help create a module to easily use and integrate Oh Dear within your Ansible scripts.

Tools we provide to ease development

To help you develop the integration more easily we provide an extensive toolset:

Rules of engagement

To be eligible for bounties, you should follow these guidelines:

1

Everything gets open-sourced

All work will be open-sourced on our GitHub account under the Oh Dear organization, under the MIT License.

2

Code quality

We expect all code to be well-documented and follow best practices.

3

Unit tests & coverage

The core functionality should be covered by unit tests, we should be able to rely on those tests in the future when extending functionality or refactoring code.

4

Predetermined scope of work

We'll work with you to define the scope of work before you start building. No surprises later on.

5

Availability after completion

All software has bugs. We expect you to be available for a reasonable amount of time after completion to fix any issues that may arise.

6

Swift payments

You'd expect this should not need mentioning, but we've worked with many freelancers who had to chase payments. We'll pay you within 14 days of receiving your invoice.

7

Review process

Features must pass our code review and testing before acceptance/payment.

8

Swift communication

We expect timely and clear communication throughout the project, including updates on progress and any potential issues. We'll have a shared Slack channel for direct access to the Oh Dear core team.

9

Intellectual Property & Legal

All code must be originally written or properly licensed. Any code written will be the intellectual property of Oh Dear upon payment.

Are you up for the task?
